Wow!  Some of the comments from the various 10 yr olds are better than what I could come up with.  Who knew.

It was so great once upon a time to be the parent of a 10 year old! (I have a 15 yr old...); They DO know just about "everything, about 'Everything'! Still! And the saddest part is, that they may actually know it all! But never forget, that for all their smarts, they will never know the way families love and care, unless you can personally tell them.... always remember that you are the anchor in their lives, and even when they cannot figure out life intellectually, We always have family... which will always be strongest...

Ah, the age of TEN.  My 1st grandchild, Olivia, proves her generation will find Mother Earth "saved" by recycling. Anything used is given her "once over" for thoughts about saving, sharing, reusing, or disposing. She also applies that same attitude in her school work, aksing the teacher why reports can't be copied onto a disk or CD, thereby saving paper... and if that idea isn't acceptable, "WHY?" does the report need a cover page, front & back cover, and etc.  Her studies in advanced Math, Science and Reading are amazing.  Their brains are like new sponges.  She is constantly teaching us better ways, newer things and always thinking.  Ginger

When my son, Michael, was 10 years old, his 5th grade teacher had them write a book about their thoughts of the world. His book was 20 pages long, because he illustratedLaughing! He was afraid people who read his book wouldn't understand him. His number one theory was he wouldn't have a world to live on if people didn't recycle. His picture is of the world pushing a wheel barrel of newpapers, and crushed cans to the recycle center. The world is saying,"I will be in this wheelbarel (sic) if people won't take care of this stuff."
